A healthy diet tips is needed to maintain and improve our health. It is defined by appropriate amounts of various nutrients that can be obtained from different sorts of food. Do you want to know what kind of damages can be suffered by having an unhealthy diet? Health risks range from high blood pressure, overweight or obesity, diabetes to severe chronic diseases like cardiovascular diseases and ending with cancer.

Oh, and let’s not forget the free radicals that can damage the body as well. They are either produced in a natural way through our metabolism or assimilated into our organism from external sources. The effective way to fight against free radicals is by eating healthy foods which contain antioxidants that reduce the negative effects created by free radicals.

Start living a healthy, disease-free life and to do that, you need to know what choices of food are good to you. Let’s start with an undeniable truth: the closer a food product is to its natural state, the healthier it is for you. Green and brightly colored vegetables are full of vitamins that your body is craving for. If in mood for something sweet, then fresh fruits are delicious and perfect for your health! There are tons of recipes to prepare tasty, sweet, natural deserts which are way better for your organism than those greasy donuts that you like so much.

Feeling thirsty? If you’re not in the mood for plain water, then prepare sugar-free fruit or vegetable juices full of vitamins and minerals. Avoid the processed sugar and dangerous chemical found in sodas and other artificial beverages. Avoid white bread and refined pasta and chose the same products, but made of grain. And say good bye to pastries as well.

Replace red meat with lean turkey and chicken and eat fish, not fried, but boiled or grilled. Fish is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids that are great for your health. Even yogurts contain them now. Avoid processed food full of saturated fat, nitrates and other dangerous compounds that threaten your health. Eat baked, not fried food and avoid pork meat and fat beef. Venison may be an excellent choice for your lunch meal. If you desire something in between meals, a low fat yogurt or nuts and dried fruit will make peace with your stomach until your next meal.

Start eating healthy and remember to value the variety in your diet!
